Great brand activations take a lot of planning and a lot of thought. But sometimes, we get a last-minute request that we just can’t resist, and bringing Kopperberg’s Recycling Rig to life, was one of those projects.
In XX short weeks we found an old Swiss army truck, stripped it down and rebuilt it with up-cycled materials, including 87 speakers, a DJ booth and huge rotating recycling wheel at the rear.
With a design inspired by cult film Mad Max, the Recycling Rig powers parties in the capital's parks in exchange for empty bottles and cans handed in by Londoners.
The more empty bottles and cans that are handed in, the longer the music will play. Visitors to London parks heard remixes of popular classics and summer inspired hits hosted by a resident DJ.
The 'Recycling Rig' was the latest instalment of Kopparberg's "Fånga Dagen" campaign, encouraging us all to do our bit to keep our parks green, while having a great time too. It’s a mindset they live by in Kopparberg town and the reason why the brand was created 24 years ago.
